Moving on from his impressive horror flick ‘Red State’ and this time stripping out the political overtone tubby funster filmmaker Kevin Smith is apparently in pre-production with a new genre offering. According to his latest Tweet he’s busy prepping ‘Tusk’ a project that’s been spoken about on his Smodcast along with Scott Mosier whom he has been working with to develop the script. The weird and wonderful concept concerns a man who was once lost at sea with a walrus. When he returns home, he puts out an ad for a roommate. The only thing he asks for is that his new roomate wear a walrus costume and act like the animal. Interestingly enough Smith would love for fellow filmmaker Quentin Tarantino to play the lead.
Here’s the Tweet over at @ThatKevinSmith:
“SModcast 259:TheWalrus&TheCarpenter debuts 6/25. Less than 1 month later… IT’S AN ACTUAL MOVIE IN PRE-PRO! Shooting 9/15: TUSK! #WalrusYes”
