Finally opening in US theatres later this month is Kimberly Peirce’s new feature adaptation of the classic Stephen King horror novel ‘Carrie’. And as one of the many upcoming horror releases this year that has been keeping its marketing team busy a whole gang of new official stills from the production have been unveiled. The new pics feature a dishevelled looking Chloe Grace Moretz (‘Kick-Ass 2’) in the title role as well as her on screen mom Julianne Moore (‘Hannibal’). They also capture a few new glimpses at fellow co-stars Judy Greer (‘Archer’), Alex Russell (‘Chronicle’), Ansel Elgort, Portia Doubleday (‘Youth in Revolt’) and gorgeous Brit hottie Gabriella Wilde (‘St Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold’). Check out the new pics below.
“The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White and her daughter Carrie. Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.”
‘Carrie’ opens in the US on 18 October and will arrive here in the UK on 29 November.
