During some recent promotional work for action reboot ‘RoboCop’ actor Michael Keaton briefly touched on the subject of ‘Beetlejuice 2’, of course. In the interview with MTV the actor stated that he would be well up for reprising the role of the ghost with the most as long as original director Tim Burton (‘Sleepy Hollow’) was definitely involved. “I’ve e-mailed Tim (Burton) a couple of times,” says Keaton “..talked to the writer a couple of times, but all really, really preliminary stuff…I always said that’s the one thing I’d like to do again, if I ever did anything again. But it kind of required Tim to be involved some way or another.” He then continued with the extremely positive statement claiming “Now it looks like he (Tim) is involved”.
Tim Burton’s original horror comedy ‘Beetlejuice’ was released way back in 1988 and starred Keaton alongside Alec Baldwin (’30 Rock’), Geena Davis and Winona Ryder.
