GENRE VETS SEE THE LIGHT
Quite a horror troupe has been pulled together for The Absence of Light, a film we’ve been informed will begin a convention screening run this April. Directed by Patrick Desmond, Absence stars genre vets Reggie Bannister, Michael Berryman, Caroline Munro, Tony Todd, David Hess, and Tom Savini.
Visit the film’s official site (here) and you’ll find a gallery of photos, a trailer, and regular updates on the film’s progress. To make it easier for you than clicking around a lot, the synopsis is located right here, and goes a little something like this;
In a world where political coverups and unexplainable ‘accidents’ are the everyday norm, agents ‘Puritan’ (Richard Conant) and ‘Sultan’ (Eric Thornsberry) must stop an apocalyptic showdown between super bad-boy bosses – Tom Savini (From Dusk Till Dawn) and David Hess (Last House On The Left). When the bosses try to control the ‘breakthrough’ experiment of a benevolent researcher – Tony Todd (Candy Man) – and create a race of inhuman ‘super soldiers,’ Puritan and Sultan step in to end the showdown.
Absence’s debut will take place at this year’s Savini-thon via the Frightvision Convention in Cleveland, Ohio the weekend of April 2nd. For more info on the upcoming con click that mouse of yours right here.
