    WILLARD POSTER

    Willard

WILLARD stars the nutball of all nutballs (the man who once tried to kick David Letterman on his show and was quietly ‘escorted out’ after the commercial break), Crispin Glover, who most younger kids will remember from his kickass cool character in CHARLIE’S ANGELS, and most ‘older’ kids will remember as none other than Mc-f*ckin-Fly from the BACK TO THE FUTURE series. If you didn’t read about this upcoming flick in our NEW LINE CINEMA 2003 preview section, here’s a quick lowdown:

‘A social misfit, Willard (Crispin Glover) is constantly humiliated in front of his co-workers and squeezed out of the family business by his boss (R. Lee Ermey). His only friends are Cathryn (Laura Elena Haring), a new temp in the office, and a couple of rats he raises at home, Ben and Socrates (and their increasing number of friends). But when one of the rats is killed at work, Willard unleashes his rage – and his army of rats – on his tormentors.’

Sounds like fun times to me. It doesn’t hurt that the guys behind the scenes are the X-FILES creepmeisters themselves: Glen Morgan and James Wong (FINAL DESTINATION) and that one half of the lesbo squad from MULHOLLAND DRIVE is also on board, as well as the man who would let you nail his sister if he liked you enough (according to his character in FULL METAL JACKET), R. Lee Ermey. WILLARD opens nationwide on March 14, 2003 and here’s a peek at its poster.
