Dread Central got word today about a new indie movie being made called Babydoll.
As far as who’s making it, the man’s name is Marcus Koch. While it may not ring a bell, he’s worked on the effects for such classics as Nikos the Impaler (which I voted Worst Movie of 2003!) and the direct-to-DVD Ghost Lake. Now he’s trying his hand in the director’s chair, with shooting set to start next month.
This morning we got the “official synopsis”, though admittedly it doesn’t make a lot of sense yet…
Its night of the loving dead when Paul almost runs over Babydoll in his 1984 Cadillac hearse. She’s the perfect girl for a not so perfect Pall Bearer. She’s cute she’s sweet, she’s been dead for a week. And if you thought girls were made of sugar and spice, a few nights with Babydoll and you’ll see what’s really inside a girl.
So that’s all we know for now, but as we learn more, we’ll be sure to send it your way!
