Filmmaker Dan Walton got in touch with Fango to tip them off that the teaser trailer for his soon-to-roll feature BIND is now on-line and to give the lowdown on the genre-centric cast he’s landed to his gory ’80s-throwback forest-slasher flick. “We’ve attached Devon [FINAL DESTINATION] Sawa, Tony [CANDYMAN] Todd and Ken [THE DEVIL’S REJECTS] Foree, along with Dan Ellis and Christa M. Darby,” says Walton, whose teaser can be seen here. “It got ‘Number One’ on YouTube and seven honors in a day and a half!” says the enthusiastic writer/director of the trailer’s Internet debut.
Walton, who’s paired with Ryan Nicholson (who will co-produce BIND) and his Life to Death FX shop to deliver the gruesome goods, is looking forward to commencing principal photography. Production is “slated to kick off in late January in British Columbia when it’s a little warmer, because it’s like 2 degrees right now!” BIND’s MySpace page, which also hosts the teaser, can be found here.
