Robin Hardy’s new project ‘Cowboys for Christ’, a somewhat unofficial sequel to ‘The Wicker Man’ (the ’73 version and not the god awful recent Nick Cage remake) has been shut down according to BBC News.
‘Cowboys for Christ’, based on a book by Robin Hardy, was to star Christopher Lee and Edward Woodward and have Hardy behind the cameras helming the shoot himself. It was to begin photography this month. However, the film’s shoots in Dumfries and Galloway have been shut down due to “financial difficulties.”
A voyage to secure funding will now likely begin to get the film production up and running again.
