The original embodiment of ‘Hellraiser’s Pinhead, Doug Bradley, may have been turfed aside for the upcoming sequel ‘Hellraiser: Revelations’ but he’s still keeping his feet firmly in the horror camp with new Spanish exorcism horror ‘The Possession of Emma Evans’ (AKA ‘Exorcismus’, ‘La posesión de Emma Evans’). The Manuel Carballo directed project, which co-stars the mostly British cast Stephen Billington, Tommy Bastow, Sophie Vavasseur, Richard Felix, Jo-Anne Stockham, Brendan Price, Clàudia Costas, Emma Reynolds and Lazzaro E. Oertli Ortiz, has got itself a new sales art poster fresh from AFM 2010 and you can check it out below.
“‘The Possession of Emma Evans’ (‘Exorcismus’) follows Fifteen-year-old Emma Hawkins, who, like any other teenage girl, thinks that her parents don’t understand her. She longs for independence and a life free of family ties and responsibilities and she is prepared to do anything to achieve it. But one day she will be forced to face up to the consequences of her actions.
Life seems to be carrying on as normal, until one day Emma starts experiencing frightening fits. Her parents are convinced that her problems are either medical or psychological, but when doctors’ tests are unable to draw any conclusions, the family is forced to look elsewhere for answers.”
Is the exorcism thing getting a little tired? Seems like there’s a barrage of them arriving of late?
