Director Brad Anderson has been spending most his time of late helming various TV shows (such as ‘Fringe’) and has been rather sparse on the feature front since 2008’s ‘Transsiberian’, his rather slow-going suspence thriller. But ‘The Machinist’ director is back with ‘The Vanishing on Seventh Street’, starring Hayden Christensen, sexy Brit Thandie Newton (below), John Leguizamo, Taylor Groothuis and Jacob Latimore. A new unnerving trailer has arrived and you can check it plus read more about the new mystery thriller below.
“When a massive power outage plunges the city of Detroit into total darkness, a disparate group of individuals find themselves alone. The entire city’s population has vanished into thin air, leaving behind heaps of empty clothing, abandoned cars and lengthening shadows. Soon the daylight begins to disappear completely, and as the survivors gather in an abandoned tavern, they realize the darkness is out to get them, and only their rapidly diminishing light sources can keep them safe.”
As with most of his projects this one is as intriguing and interesting as ever. Let’s hope it lives up to his standards.
