Following last month’s news that the gorgeous ‘Lone Star’ actress Eloise Mumford had been cast in Oren Peli’s (‘Paranormal Activity’) new supernatural ABC show ‘The River’. Now it appears that Brit actor Joe Anderson (below), star of ‘The Crazies’ and ‘The Ruins’, has scored the lead role in the show to be helmed by ‘Orphan’ director Jaume Collet-Serra. Oren penned ‘The River’ pilot along with ‘Paranormal Activity 2’ scribe Michael R. Perry and ‘Heroes’ Michael Green.
“The River follows the story of a famed adventurer/TV personality who goes missing and is presumed dead deep in the Amazon. His friends and crew go to look for him on their state-of-the-art research vessel.”
