SCREAMING DEAD WRAPS
E.I. Independent Cinema just wrapped their latest production THE SCREAMING DEAD in New Jersey, for release on VHS and special-edition DVD next February on the Shock-O-Rama label. Originally announced under the title HOUSE OF 1000 SCREAMS and written/directed by Brett (PSYCLOPS) Piper, this is a far cry from E.I.s traditional comic projects. Its a dead-serious shocker about a group of models (including the companys star Misty Mundae, pictured) who are brought to an abandoned asylum by twisted photographer Roger Neale (Joseph Farrell).
The place was originally built by a depraved industrialist named Rossiter, who tortured and murdered patients in an underground chamber, and his legacy of evil arises to terrorize the new visitors. SCREAMING DEAD was shot in a real abandoned mental institution in Marlboro, NJ; look for further coverage of the film in a future Fango and a Notes from the Underground piece by Piper about his other recent releases in Fango #225, on sale July 15.
