Monkey antics ahoy in the Rupert Wyatt prequel ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’. It arrives stateside tomorrow but for now to wet your appetite you can catch sight of a new international one-sheet below. At first glance it looks more like a war movie and I guess in many ways it is. However, this time the enemy are power hungry primates. James Franco (‘127 Hours’) and Freida Pinto (‘Slumdog Millionaire’) star in this epic 20th Century Fox prequel. John Lithgow (‘Dexter’), Brian Cox (‘The Ring’), Tom Felton (‘Harry Potter’) and Andy Serkis (‘King Kong’) all co-star. Check out the new poster below.
“Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”
‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ arrives in US theatres tomorrow and in the UK from 12 August.
