All of you comic lovers and zombie lovers are in for a treat with the new comicbook series called Fleshrot, which includes over 100 (front/back) pages filled with stories and images all zombie related done by different writers and artists around the world! Here’s a little more about the book for those interested…
If youre a zombie fan, then I have something for you! Just released is a new comic/trade paper back series called Fleshrot: Tales From the Dead. Created by a huge zombie fan named John Pearson, Fleshrot explores the world of zombies in many fun and artistic ways.
After reading through the foreword by George A. Romero, I was super pumped, this looked like a great deal for only $12.99. Over 100 pages of artwork and stories all zombie related!
The book is full of great stories, and they are told in many different ways. The first couple of shorts gave me the feel like I was reading something out of the Sunday comics, only it was about zombies. The artwork ranges from a Tales from the Crypt look to a dark and twisted Frank Miller look. My favorite story was the one written and illustrated by the creator John Pearson entitled ‘The Collection.’
The artwork resembles something out of Dark Horse comics circa early 90’s like The Mask, with a very intersting take on zombies. This collector collects zombie heads! This get really interesting to say the least.
Between all the stories are funny fake advertisments for different products like, ‘the trick brain, It looks real! It feels real, but when your zombie buddies will be in for a surprise when they bite into this brain and taste hot pepper sauce! Tons of laughs!’
The finishing touch are tons of great gallery shots of zombies in action, all done by different artists from around the world.
All in all, this is really something unique and interesting, especially for the zombie fans who cant get enough brains in their life. Any horror fan who’s into comics would love this along with you people who read the comics in the newspaper everyday. Check out the official site for more information about Fleshrot.
