Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman (‘Red Dragon’, ‘Moneyball’) has been offered a role in Lionsgate’s futuristic action sequel ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’. The 44-year old actor has been offered the part of gamesmaster Plutarch Heavensbee. Heavensbee is the designer and manager who succeeds Seneca Crane (played by Wes Bentley in ‘The Hunger Games’). Hoffman (below) is yet to snap up the part but as the role is expected to be quite small it should fit very snuggly into his upcoming workload. Francis Lawrence (‘Constantine’) will be helming the project which will see the gorgeous Jennifer Lawrence (‘X-Men: First Class’) returns as our heroine Katniss Everdeen.
‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ spreads through theatres from 22 November 2013.
