CINEMUERTE FESTIVAL COMES TO TEXAS
To mark the fifth anniversary of her CineMuerte International Fantastic Film Festival, organizer/Fango scribe/all-around super-cool Vancouver horror fan Kier-la Janisse has brought the event with her to Austin, TXs Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, where shes currently working as programmer. Running October 27-31, the fest will showcase a wide and impressive variety of international fear fare, including a rare theatrical screening of Narciso IbaSerradors chilling 1975 killer-kid film WHO CAN KILL A CHILD?, Sergio Martinos ALL THE COLORS OF DARKNESS, J.T. Pettys SOFT FOR DIGGING, Nikos Nikolaidis SINGAPORE SLING (pictured), Hisayasu Satos NAKED BLOOD with Doug Bucks short CUTTING MOMENTS, William Ashers NIGHT WARNING (a.k.a. BUTCHER, BAKER, NIGHTMARE MAKER) and Ben Coccios Columbine-inspired drama ZERO DAY.
