A new batch of international character posters have been revealed over at the IMP Awards for Peter Berg’s ‘Battleship’. The new posters feature Liam Neeson (‘The A-Team’) as Admiral Shane, Taylor Kitsch (‘John Carter’) as Lt. Alex Hopper, Alexander Skarsgard (‘True Blood’) as Stone Hopper, pop star Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes and what we assume to be a well kitted-out alien lifeform. Each poster screams ‘Transformers’ at you and from all the previous assets, trailers and clips released from the project that seems pretty much what we’re gonna get – ‘Transformers’ at sea. It’s safe to bet that the effects-heavy ‘Battleship’ adaption has very little connection to the Hasbro game which it is said to have been “inspired” by. Sadly there’s no character poster of one of its sexiest stars Brooklyn Decker -below (‘Just Go With It’) who stars as physical therapist Sam Shane. But fret not as we’ve thrown up a pic of Miss Decker which will still hopefully be appreciated by our readers.

‘Battleship’ opens here in the UK on 11 April and on 18 May across the US.
