Arriving back on our screens this coming October is the third installment in FX’s award winning, and extremely unique, horror show ‘American Horror Story’. And ahead of its arrival Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will be unleashing the twisted second season, ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’, onto DVD and Blu-ray here in the UK. Yes the show that managed to squeeze in Nazis, mutants, aliens and a deranged serial killer in just a mere 13 episodes of strangeness, scariness and downright awesomeness is finally ready for home viewing and will be released on 23 September.
Next up blowing onto DVD and Blu-ray from the 7 October courtesy of Studiocanal is the biggest and most talked about B-movie in years. ‘Sharknado’ is SyFy’s outrageous new release where a freak LA tornado spins into town bringing with it thousands of man-eating sharks to cause havoc on the unsuspecting Las Angelenos. So you had better make sure you have the best DVD or Blu-ray player ready and setup, grab some popcorn, get your friends round and admire the absurdity that is ‘Sharknado’.
Hitting DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download on 25 November making it the perfect pre-Chrimbo pick up present is Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright and Nick Frost’s final installment in their acclaimed Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy. ‘The World’s End’ starring Pegg, Frost and a whole host of British talent, is a wonderfully visual sci-fi nod from the team that bought us zomromcom ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and action comedy ‘Hot Fuzz’. And to top it all off ‘The World’s End’ will also be released in a special Cornetto Trilogy DVD Box that’ll include the other genius comedic presentations from the trio making it the perfect Xmas time must have for all those glorious geeks and film buffs out there.
