COMBS COMES BACK
Ever wonder what Jeffrey Combs is doing when hes not showing up at horror conventions or starring as Dr. West? Well, anyone that knows the mans career knows hes usually working on ‘Star Trek’, a show hes played multiple roles on throughout the series that have been in existence.
A site called Trek Web tracked him down for an interview recently, which you can check out here if youre both a Combs and a ‘Trek’ fan. Whats interesting to you guys, however, are the two new horror films he discusses breifly that see him returning to our beloved genre.
The first is Jeremy Kastens All Souls Day. Written and produced by Mark Altman through his Mindfire Entertainment, Combs plays a ’50s dad’ who, while on vacation in Mexico, stops in the wrong town at the wrong time. Combs worked with director Kasten before on his debut film, 2001’s long-delayed The Attic Expeditions, which you should make it a point to see if you havne’t alredy. Altman was just announced as the writer on the House of the Dead sequel for Lions Gate, so look for more info on both projects in these pages very soon.
The other movie he mentions is one I could find, sadly, zero information on. Its called The Master of Gore, and all Combs says about is that hes not the Master. If anyone out there has any info on it, drop me a line with the e-mail listed below, cause it soundssticky.
