FESSENDEN WARMS UP THE LAST WINTER
Cult director Larry (WENDIGO) Fessenden has quietly begun 2nd-unit shooting on THE LAST WINTER, a genre yarn he co-wrote with Robert Leaver. Fessendens being very cagey about plot details of the new film, but it will involve some of his usual dark passions, he says. ‘THE LAST WINTER is a menacing apocalyptic ghost story set in a remote arctic outpost,’ he tells Fango. The director began lensing in Iceland this month, and THE LAST WINTER will start up again in March 2005. ‘The story calls for a lot of snow and ice, and Iceland has a lot of snow and ice,’ Fessenden notes; pictured above is a chilly location scout.
THE LAST WINTER is being produced by WENDIGOs Jeff Levy-Hinte and Joni Sighvatsson, whose credits include Clive Barkers LORD OF ILLUSIONS and the first two CANDYMAN films.
