ZOMBIE AND SPIDERMAN
The good news keeps rolling in for rocker-turned-horror director-turned…animated cartoon voice actor? Yes, it’s true. According to a report on Comics Continuum, Rob Zombie will be doing the voice of the Lizard and his human alter-ego, Dr. Curt Connors in the umpteenth new SPIDER-MAN animated series, this one being done to be shown on MTV (perhaps that’s why a name-musical talent was selected).
Zombie, no stranger to villainous theatrics after grim appearances in several of his own videos, has only been involved with animated fare once before, when a song of his was used in BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD DO AMERICA.
Anyway, like with all superhero shows utilizing classic comic book villains, should the Lizard/Connors (who was Peter Parker’s professorial mentor in college as Parker worked in his lab – before, of course, Connors went nuts after doing an experiment on himself that turned him into the Lizard) be seen as a favorite and the Spidey show actually takes off, this might become a fun side project for the popular horror rocker for some time to come.
