Variety reports that actor Corbin Bernsen, best known to horror fans for playing the title role in THE DENTIST and its sequel, will direct a zombie movie called DEAD AIR beginning next month in LA. A coproduction of Bernsen’s Public Media Works and Antibody Films, it was scripted by Kenneth Yakkel (director of the 2000 horror spoof STOP IT, YOU’RE KILLING ME and a co-producer on James Farr’s on-line XOMBIE series) and is set at a radio station whose staff tries to warn the populace about an undead invasion. Busy genre actor Bill Moseley and Pat (NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD ’90) Tallman will star, and Bernsen will play a small role. DEAD AIR reps Bernsen’s third time at the helm following the 2005 comedy CARPOOL GUY and the noir thriller DONNA ON DEMAND, which is currently in postproduction.
