Yesterday Microsoft held their X-05 press event in Amsterdam, and unsurprisingly they’ve been showing off the XBox 360 and lots of new footage of some of the titles heading to the console. What this means for you and me is a new trailer for Dead Rising that makes all the old ones look out of date.
As well as featuring thousands of zombies, the game shows off a bit of it’s sense of humour with a cute nod to the Resident Evil series and a few humorous ways of disposing of zombies.
Of all the next gen games going the “thousands of enemies on screen at a time”, Dead Rising seems to be offering the most fun ways of dealing with them, be it throwing a bowling ball into a pack of zombies or grabbing a zombie by the leg and swinging him around as an undead weapon, scattering any walking corpses foolish enough to be breathing down your neck.
The XBox site also has a video of Condemned, which doesn’t contain any new footage that I’m aware of, and a new but rather underwhelming (compared to previous trailers at least) trailer to Gears of War, but if you haven’t seen much of the game and are thinking that one great looking horror game isn’t enough to convince you to pick up a 360, they’re definately something you want to look at. Don’t be surprised if the site takes a while to load though, it seems to be under some strain in the wake of X-05. Check it out right here!
