ETERNAL BUZZES TO THE STATES

Here! Films, the independent production and distribution shingleshingle that is a subsidiary of Regent Entertainment. Regent Entertainment, has acquired U.S. distribution rights to the thriller Eternal from Horizon Entertainment.
Pic will be released theatrically in the U.S. in early 2005; TVA Films released it in Quebec theaters last week.
Pic, written and directed by WildKoast Entertainment’s Wilhelm Liebenberg and Federico Sanchez (who also produced), is based on the infamous Erzsebet Bathory, the 16th century Hungarian countess who reportedly seduced and murdered 650 women in order to bathe in their blood for eternal life.
Pic is set in modern day and unfolds when the wife of a vice cop mysteriously disappears and the trail leads to the home of Elizabeth Kane, a woman who may or may not be the countess made immortal or simply a demonic killer in her guise. Pic stars Conrad Pla, Caroline Neron and Victoria Sanchez.
‘The filmmakers (evoke) the classic horror elements of ‘The Hunger’ crossed with the sexually charged thriller ‘Basic Instinct,’ ‘ said Mark Reinhard execexec VP of distribution and acquisitions for Here! Films, who closed the deal with Horizon president Rob Straight.
Horizon is handling worldwide sales on the pic and will premiere it to international buyers at the American Film Market this November.
Montreal-based WildKoast is in pre-productionpre-production on its second featurefeature, ‘Forbidden Landscape.’ filming on location in Canada, Russia, Turkey and Spain.
