GORDON DIRECTING REANIMATOR?
Creature Corner reports:
‘It depends on who wins the election. Anyone who feels like the Re-animator franchise has suffered since Director Stuart Gordon has stopped making them may get some relief soon. It seems Gordon is interested in reviving the series if Bush and Cheney win the election. In a recent interview with SKNR.NET Gordon said
‘One idea I am kicking around is ‘House of Re-animator’. It is a political satire that should certain people be back in office, then I would do it. I hope I do not have to go ahead with it, but if I do, it would be about VP Cheney passing from a heart attack and since he basically runs everything, Dr. West is called in to bring him back. I would only go on with this in the event of re-election as otherwise it would be old news.’
He has another project in the works if the election swings the other way. Gordon responded
‘Another project I am looking at is a project with Jack Ketchum called ‘Ladys Night’ it is about a toxic spill that happens in Manhattan. It only affects woman but turns them into killing machines and it is a mix of real time, mayhem, and carnage. ‘
Yes it looks like we all have another reason to vote this since the next Re-animator may rest in the balance of power. Or maybe Stuart could do a Re-animator about former presidents I would enjoy seeing a zombie Nixon movie. Maybe he can start a whole new franchise.’
