MCFARLANE’S TWISTED TALES FOR TV
Variety reports that SPAWN creator Todd McFarlane has signed a deal with Fox TV to develop the half-hour horror anthology series TWISTED TALES (based on the same-titled comic book), in association with AngryFilms. McFarlane will also be the host of the show, introducing each scary story from a basement-like set. Episodes will consist of only one story, as Don Murphy, one of the executive producers, explains: ‘Other series went to the easier-fit idea of multiple stories in an hour, and inevitably one of the stories was bad,’ he tells the trade. ‘Here its one story, one episode, bangwe gotcha.’ Trey Callaway, who scripted I STILL KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, will be the show runner and another of the executive producers, along with Terry Fitzgerald, Rick Benattar and Susan Montford.
