Columbia Pictures has hired David Slade to direct 30 DAYS OF NIGHT.
The story, adapated from Steven Niles’ comic book, is set in Alaska, during the middle of winter when the sun does not rise for 30 days, and an evil force strikes terror into the residents of the small town and all hopes are on the local sheriffs and a husband-and-wife team, who must choose between saving themselves and helping the town survive the terrifying siege until daylight returns.
Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures will produce.
