The Best Horror TV Shws To Expect Over The Coming Year

While we’ve already seen a number of promising horror film announcements of the last few months, we may also be rewarded with a multitude of horror TV shows that are set to try and break into an already over-saturated market, but with what’s been announced, there’s a good chance that we may see some real gems on the small screen over the coming year.

    Swamp Thing

Based on the DC villain of the same name, Swamp Thing is set to arrive sometime in May, and will be starring Andy Bean as Alec Holland, a scientist that has been transformed into the Swamp Thing. Crystal Reed will be playing Abby Arcane, a researched from the CDC that will be investigating a virus and finds herself falling in love with Holland.

Based on the extremely popular comic series, this will be produced by James Wan, Gary Dauberman, and Mark Verheiden. We can expect to also see such stars as Jennifer Beals, Henderson Wade, Will Patton, and Virginia Madsen.

    Stranger Things Season 3

Stranger Thing quickly became on the most popular sci-fi horror series of all time, and that popularity was only amplified with the release of the second season. With fans screaming for more, Netflix green-lit the third season, which is set to be released on the 4th of July.

As for the plot, the creators have revealed very little, but we do know that it will take place in the summer of 1985, will be bringing in new set pieces to the town, and should be the perfect way to spend the evening, and is sure to be exciting as playing online blackjack.

    October Faction

October Faction is based on the IDW comic series of the same name, and this 10-episode show will be following monster hunters Deloris and Fred Allen who retires from up-state New York with their teenager children after the death of Fred’s father.

The series is gory and grim and should prove to be a solid adaption of the source material.

    NOS4A2

This series is being prepared to premier in the summer of 2019 and is based on the novel of the same name by Joe Hill.

The series will see Vic McQueen, being played by Ashleigh Cummings, as the only character that has the power to take down an ancient immortal: Charlie Manx – being played by the talented Zachary Quinto.

Manx is a vampire that feeds on the souls of children and dumps their corpses into Christmasland, a twisted world where Christmas takes place every day, and everyone is stuck in the grips of insanity and misery.

What We Do in The Shadows

Set for a spring release, this 10-episode spin-off of the 2014 horror comedy will be following a group of vampires who are sent to conquer America 200 years in the past.

They forget their mission and get lost along the way, which means that the boat dropped them off in New York, and they didn’t go any further. It promises the same comedy as the film, but with an entirely new cast of vampires.
