Cheap Jersey Video has announced that its horror/comedy THE DRUNKEN DEAD GUY will be stumbling onto DVD the second week of October. Produced and directed by John Greff, this very low-budget shot-on-video production is described thusly: “This is the story of Tom [Tom Duda, who also scripted with Greff], an advertising contractor with an empty, gray existence, just like his cold work commute through concrete. After an untimely death, he enjoys the comforts of heaven, but a wrongly perceived crisis (God doesn’t understand that the Devils are a hockey team) results in the need for a miracle. Tom is the unlucky choice to be risen up to fight the devils. Unfortunately, heaven botches the job and Tom is a rotting corpse. The only solution is for him to drink a lot of alcohol to preserve himself. The side effect is that he gets intoxicated!”
The movie includes appearances by Tina (WITCHOUSE 3) Krause and Bill (NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD) Hinzman, plus cameos by John Zacherle and Rudy Ray Moore.
