It’s a splendidly horrific day so when better to bring you a selection of new assets from Douglas Aarniokoski’s (‘Nurse 3-D’) post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller ‘The Day’. The WWE Studios and Anchor Bay Films is approaching release which is due on 29 August and to ramp up the end of the world shennanigans a new trailer and a collection of new stills from the project have landed. ‘The Day’ stills feature cast members Ashley Bell (‘The Last Exorcism 2’), Dominic Monaghan (‘Lost’), Shannyn Sossamon (‘The Rules of Attraction’), Shawn Ashmore (‘Frozen’, ‘Mother’s Day’) and Cory Hardrict. And this small team of survivors are joined by felow casties Michael Eklund (‘The Divide’), Brianna Barnes and Kassidy Verreault. Head below for the assets.
“A group of five survivors, armed with shotguns, axes and machetes, wander the back roads of a ravaged landscape looking for refuge in The Day, a terrifying look into a post-apocalyptic future. As war ravages humanity, destroying civilization and most of life on earth, the survivors realize they must do whatever it takes to stay alive. Lost, starving, and exhausted, they seek shelter in a seemingly safe abandoned farmhouse.
