Amongst the array of hotly anticipated horror flicks coming our way in 2012 is the Joss Whedon (‘The Avengers’) and Drew Goddard (‘Cloverfield’) penned ‘The Cabin In The Woods’. The new genre twisting project, which Goddard also helms, arrives theatrically this April (thanks God!) after endless struggles in getting a release. The project which attempts to turn the normal run-of-the-mill ‘cabin’ horror flicks of years gone by on its head was actually shot all the way back in 2009. Two new pics have been unleashed by the folks over at Badass Digest which you can check out below. The first pic features Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth (‘Thor’), Jesse Williams (‘Grey’s Anatomy’) and Fran Kranz from left to right. And the second gives us a behind the scenes look at Whedon and Goddard. Anna Hutchison, Amy Acker, Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford and Brian White also star.
“Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen. If you think you know this story, think again. From fan favorites Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard comes THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, a mind-blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out.”
‘The Cabin In The Woods’ finally hits theatres from 13 April 2012.
