All fans of ‘The Walking Dead’ out there are wildly excited by the impending return of the second half of the second season of the hit AMC season. Following on from the shocking ending to episode 7 the new episode (2.08 – Nebraska) will air on Sunday 12 February on AMC 9/8c (and on FX on Friday 17 February at 10pm here in the UK). A couple of new stills have arrived from the upcoming episode featuring Andrew Lincoln (‘Love Actually’) and Jeffrey DeMunn (‘The Mist’), but Variety are reporting an even more interesting piece of news which would have quite the effect on the hit AMC zombie series. It seems that actor Jon Bernthal who plays Shane in the series is in talks to play the lead in new TNT series ‘L.A. Noir’. Now of course its too early to tell just yet but if Bernthal was to land the new lead role it may mark the end of his days on ‘The Walking Dead’. Norman Reedus, Laurie Holden (‘Silent Hill’), Steven Yeun, Sarah Wayne Callies (‘Prison Break’) and Lauren Cohan (‘Supernatural’) all co-star. Check out the new stills below.
“‘The Walking Dead’ follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. The comic goes on to explore the challenges of life in a world overrun by zombies who take a toll on the survivors, and sometimes the interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the zombies that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive.”
