ROBIN HOOD FILM REVIEW

Posted: 22 January, 2019 at 15:04 PM GMT
Robin Hood Film Review

There hasn’t exactly been a shortage of ‘Robin Hood’ movies. In fact, there’s a Wikipedia page on the subject, which details every TV show and movie that’s ever been made on the topic. It runs to over one hundred entries, with a further three currently in production. You would expect that to mean that every conceivable take on the British fairy tale has already been done, and there’s no further need to make new ones. The Russell Crowe film from 2010 is probably the best recent example; imperfect as it was; and for a lot of movie enthusiasts, nothing is going to top the supremely funny ‘Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves’ from 1991, starring Kevin Costner and featuring a delightfully over-the-top performance from the late Alan Rickman. Despite all the competition, Otto Bathurst has decided to reinterpret the tale himself, with Taron Egerton in the lead role, and Ben Mendelsohn playing opposite as the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham.

Top 5 Horror Games

The problem with most games is that they claim to be terrifying, but invariably they are not. There may be a couple of ‘jump scares’ here and there, but for the most part you are barely going to quiver, let alone be reaching for the nearest pillow to hide behind. Thankfully, there are some companies who managed to get the horror formula ‘right’. These are games which are not only fun to play but will have you flicking on that nearest light before you can even muster up a scream.

REVIEW: Thomas Crane's HALLOWEEN PARTY

With the Halloween season fast approaching we were lucky enough to catch writer and director Thomas Crane's new horror short film HALLOWEEN PARTY. The film stars Sean Gloria, Alanna Dawn, Tony Riha and Jorge Diaz and despite us labeling it as a short the movie itself actually clocks in at 37 minutes so it certainly feels more like a shortened feature length effort. And thankfully it still has all the qualities and impact that most full length horror features have.
