Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) just can't catch a break. In high school, she was stalked by a serial killer who killed her friends and made a complete ass of himself. In college, she was desired by a lecherous ghost who couldn't keep his hands off the other ladies. And as a young reporter, she's had to protect her nephew from a killer little girl who kills people through a videotape while warning the world about crop circles and aliens. Now, after her divorce from George Logan (Simon Rex) she's been asked to be a caretaker for the creepy "Grudge House." Her next door neighbor, Tom Ryan (Craig Bierko), is a single father with quite a few screws loose. As their love blossoms, the world comes under attack by gigantic tr-iPods that destroy everything in their sight. Tom flees with his kids, leaving Cindy alone with her best friend, Brenda (Regina Hall),who keeps coming back from the dead. Together, they come across a mysterious village that seems to be a hundred years behind modern times. And it is in this time that a mysterious serial killer comes into the spotlight. A serial killer who plans to make examples of the useless lives of Dr. Phil and Shaquille O'Neal.
