Ole Bornedal remade his 1994 movie 'Nattevagten' for American audiences with Ewan McGregor taking the lead role of Martin Bells, a Law student who takes a job as a nightwatchmen to pay the bills, only to find himself caught up in the middle of a murder investigation.

This Dimension release had a good cast and lots of atmosphere and mood going for it, but it was ultimately a little long in the tooth and a little bit weird.

Appearances from Brad Dourif and an early role for Alix Koromzay who went on to appear in 'The Haunting' and who would take the lead role in 'Mimic 2' add to the proceedings, but the characters are all so creepy that you end up feeling a little bit sick, and not in a nice way.

The film has a few creepy scenes and a bit of a shock moment too, but the film is nothing to get excited about.

OVERALL SUMMARY
A decent watch and a competently made film with a good cast makes for an alright watch, but you've probably seen better.
