You may have never heard of photographer Kim Gottlieb-Walker, but if you’re a John Carpenter fan you’ve been seeing her work for years. Kim was the on-set still photographer on Carpenter’s films Halloween, Halloween II, Escape From New York and Christine to name a few.
Starting October 10th and running through November 10th, she will have a photographic display of production stills and rarely seen behind-the-scenes photos of the above four Carpenter classics at Café Latte in Los Angeles. The exhibit, “Behind the Curtain with John Carpenter”, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
Café Latte is located at 6254 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90048.
Kim is currently working on a book of her photographic history with director John Carpenter. Make sure to visit Kim’s website to check out a little bit of what she will have in store.
