Brit director Christopher Smith is making a bit of a name for himself in the world of horror. Not only has he past worked on underground horror ‘Creep’ and office outing horror/comedy ‘Severance’ but he’s just finishing up on his new movie ‘Triangle’, currently in post production. And already he’s shooting his new period horror movie ‘Black Death’ starring Sean Bean. And Bean-Land.de have scored some behind the scenes snaps of the Bean. Check them out below.
Based on a script by Dario Poloni (‘Wilderness’) ‘Black Death’ centers on a band of brothers whose quest is to hunt down a necromancer against the backdrop of the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England. A young monk is sent to investigate rumors of people being brought back to life, meanwhile a mercenary arrives in the same village. Against the backdrop of the peaceful village lies a pact with the forces of darkness, orchestrated by the village ruler.
‘Black Death’ will be hitting UK theaters courtesy of Revolver and then go stateside to DVD from Sony Pictures.
