In his debut graphic novel, The Adventures of Joe and Nancy Volume 1, writer James Israelson has looked to adventure and classic sci-fi/horror films for inspiration. “There is nothing like an over the top action/adventure story that has a bit of horror to it,” he said. “In the first issue, Joe and Nancy go to a mall during the Christmas season and while they are there the mall Santa turns into a werewolf and starts wreaking havoc.” James says that the 120-page graphic novel was designed to be family friendly, but… “Don’t let that put that you off. There is tons and tons of exciting action and horror elements in the story, I just didn’t over do it.”
‘The Adventures of Joe and Nancy Volume 1’ follows two New York City reporters through their daily lives and the strange creatures, evil robots, mole people, mad scientists, and other evil fiends that they encounter along the way.
There is a Kickstarter campaign currently running where you can find more information about the graphic novel here: http://kck.st/L4O0Uh
