Fallen Angels sees a group of girls return to their old school to film a documentary five years after a tragedy unfolded there. One of the girls had been attacked by her pervert teacher and during the scuffle a fire broke out and killed many students. As the ladies arrive the locals give them a frosty reception. Attempting to put the day’s events behind them they settle down for the night only to begin dying one by one at the hands of a mysterious stalker.
This low budget film is a strange one. It is for the most part an enjoyable film. It even has some likeable genre vets in the shape of Michael Ironside, Jeff Fahey and an uncredited (why?) Emily Booth on hand. What makes it fascinating and possibly a little crappy is the fact that although it is a British/Canadian co-production, the non US actors are forced to put on dodgy American accents, as it’s set in Upstate New York. Dodgy accents aside, the film features some good locations, is technically competent and has some good chase sequences.
OVERALL SUMMARY
Fallen Angels is a curious film and one to look out for on late night cable, online or in the bargain bin at blockbuster.
