3 TIMES THE SUCK FOR VAMPIRES
John Carpenter’s involvement is nil. James Wood’s return is unlikely. Hell, there’s not even a sign of an ’80s rock star to behold. Why go forward with a third Vampires? For the Asian influence apparently.
Fangoria reports that The Forsaken helmer J.S. Cardone has returned to bloodsucker country by pulling executive producer duties on Vampires III: Temple of Blood. According to the site this installment is an ‘in name only’ entry that is told from the other side, meaning we get to hear the vampires’ say in their eternal damnation – something the previous two films were light on. ‘Action,’ on the other hand, they delivered on, so pardon me if I’m scratching my head as to why Cardone ‘promises that the film will be more action-oriented.’
Marty Weiss directs this installment with Colin Egglesfield, Stephanie Chao, Meredith Monroe, and Patrick Bauchau (Phenomena) starring. Click the Fango link provided above for another Cardone-connected project that sounds more ambitious.
