Well it looks like Bill Murray is having a handbag moment. The 61-year old actor who has been chased and chased to return to his busting days as Dr. Peter Venkman for Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis’ ‘Ghostbusters 3’ sequel looks to have finally had his final word. And all signs point to no. Although this is strictly a rumour at this stage it does feel like it could be factual but the National Enquirer are reporting that Murray has sent the new script back to Dan and Harold shredded! Attached to the box of shredded script pieces was a note stating “No one wants to pay money to see fat, old men chasing ghosts!”. Whilst it may be a little difficult now to revisit the realm of ‘Ghostbusters’ I personally would pay to see a sequel. Much like I did for ‘Tron: Legacy’. At the end of the day if it’s a decent story and well-made then why not? If anything the nostalgic feeling alone would get asses on seats. As for Murray’s reported statement that no one wants to see “fat, old men chasing ghosts”, I reckon I would. Plus did any of them actually do much actual ‘ghost-chasing’ in the original movies? I seem to recall some gentle jogging in a few montage sequences but that was about it.
