Remember that ’12 Monkeys’ TV adaptation that SyFy was planning? Well, the pilot has been granted the greenlight and production is set to kick off this November. The hour long pilot which will be co-produced by Universal Cable Productions and Atlas Entertainment was penned by Terry Matalas and Travis Fickett who will also both serve as executive producers on the project. We had heard that Jon Cassar (’24’) was originally lined up to direct but we’re uncertain if that is still the case at this stage. We just have to hope SyFy didn’t look at the title ’12 Monkeys’ on paper and with in keeping to its seemingly normal output and had already envisaged some typically low-budget amalgam of a dozen twisted flying sea monkeys attacking local beach goers.
