With less than a year until the supposed release of a brand new ‘Friday the 13th’ movie you would think it was prudent to lock in your director!? Thankfully it seems this may now be the case as ‘V/H/S’ director David Bruckner looks to be the man to take on the job. The Wrap are reporting that Bruckner, the guy responsible for the “Amateur Night” segment in 2012’s horror anthology ‘V/H/S’, is being tapped to fill the void for the new ‘Friday the 13th’ feature. Although it’s not yet clear as to how this new project will tie in to the franchise and whether it’ll be remotely connected to that of Marcus Nispel’s 2009 remake. Platinum Dunes will produce.
The new installment will be released on 13 March 2015.
