Welcome to Jurassic World: Continuing the Huge and Popular Global Franchise

Film and video game franchises can be irregular in terms of their creation, with some titles separated by decades and significant gaps in their narrative. Take the iconic Tomb Raider series of games, for example, which first emerged at the end of the 1990’s and are still being released in various creative formats in the present day.

    Jurassic Park

In terms of film franchises, few have generated as much publicity as the Jurassic Park series. After the original firm earned critical acclaim and substantial box office success, the second and third instalments flattered to deceive and managed to earn considerable revenue without engaging viewers like the original.

Jurassic World: Reigniting a Forgotten Franchise

With this in mind, the release of a fourth and potentially final piece of the jigsaw is likely to trigger a mixed response among movie-goers. Fans of the franchise will no doubt be delighted, however, with ‘Jurassic World’ scheduled for release in 2015 and having borrowed its plot from the original instalment. The new film will still differ in some respects from previous incarnations, however, with an entirely different species of dinosaur featured and the park being owned by the Masrani Corporation.

    Jurassic World

According to initial plot leaks, the owners of Jurassic World will take the unusual step of genetically modifying its subjects, with a view to creating an entirely new species of dinosaur. Branded as Diabolus Rex, the new dinosaur will have considerable strength and aggression and is expected to wreak havoc in the park. In this respect, the fourth instalment of the franchise will transcend the horror genre and evolve into science fiction, while also generating discussion about the ideas of ‘good’ vs. ‘bad’ dinosaurs. Although this may also be succinctly described as predator and prey, the film is likely to explore this relationship in greater detail.

    Jurassic Park Game

Thanks primarily to the impact and success of the first movie, the Jurassic Park franchise remains extremely iconic. It has also become a feature of popular culture, from influencing video game titles to inspiring themed casino games at au.royalvegascasino.com. This has undoubtedly been a pivotal factor in inspiring the development of a fourth film, while fans will also want the franchise to end on a high note.

Most importantly, the creative forces behind the film appear to have understood the need for diversification and refreshed the underlying plot. This will create an element of surprise, and potentially elevate the film onto an entirely more elevated and successful level.
