A VACATION TO DEADWORLD
Fans of underground comic series are in for a big jolt of happy here on the Eve of Halloween. A brand new toy company by the name of BMA Toys has just announced the acquisition of the Caliber Comic Deadworld, to produce a line of toys based on the 50-issue series.
For those of you that missed out on the series, it’s all about a group of survivors fighting for their lives after a supernatural holocaust caused all the dead folks to rise from their graves.
At one point the film options for Deadworld were in the hands of Maysville Pictures (owned by George Clooney and Rober Lawrence), but they have since expired and the property pretty much remains up for grabs. BMA has made the first step in what could be a whole parade of new interest in the Deadworld series.
A website will soon appear online dedicated to the story and the characters of Deadworld, a novel is in the works, and whole bunch of new merchandise is currently being mapped out for dispersion to the masses. More zombies is always a good thing…
