BOA VERSUS PYTHON
FREDDY VS. JASON? Small potatoes? ALIEN VS. PREDATOR? Stop kidding. The one matchup that horror fans have really been waiting for is BOA VS. PYTHON, and its coming to The Sci Fi Channel Saturday, May 22 at 9 p.m. as one of the networks creature-feature premieres. The story has a media bigwig importing an 80-foot python to the States to serve as the quarry for a group of rich hunters. But whoopsthe big snake doesnt cooperate and instead escapes and starts chowing down on local folks. FBI agent Alan Sharpe (David Hewlett of SCANNERS II and PIN) teams with biologist Monica Bonds (WARLOCK IIIs Angel Boris) to deal with the situation, and they ultimately resort to the only true solution: unleash a specially bred 70-foot boa to kill the python. Its a scaly battle to the death, and to paraphrase the AVP tag, whichever one loses, we all win. David Flores, who edited previous Unified Film Organization flicks like BOA, DRAGON FIGHTER and DEEP SHOCK, makes his directorial debut on this one, and like most of the companys output, it was shot on location in beautiful Sofia, Bulgaria.
