FAMILY MONSTER MASH?
Big fan of The Monster Squad? Well this little film sounds quite similar to the classic film, only I’m sure it won’t be half as decent (besides it’s going to be a ‘family’ movie). Read all about Monster Mash below….
According to the Hollywood Reporter, ‘In a pre-emptive bid, Paramount Pictures has picked up the Halloween family/adventure pitch Monster Mash, which Ben Tripp will write for studio-based producer Jordan Kerner. Simultaneously, Paramount has acquired the classic 1962 hit song ‘Monster Mash’ by Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett for use in the film. The project, designed to be both live-action and CGI, takes place on Halloween day and centers on the notion that monsters actually exist, but the only day they can come out without being noticed is Halloween because everyone thinks they are in a costume. This is also the one day when monsters can accomplish all their errands and chores for the entire year. When a 14-year-old boy and his father discover this secret, a wild adventure ensues.’
