HELLBOY 2 SCHEDULE TALK
From the Comics Continuum:
Ron Perlman, star of the Hellboy movie, said that Friday’s announcement by Revolution Studios of a sequel was simply a case of good business. ‘The film is highly profitable,’ Perlman said during a panel last weekend at the Motor City Comic Con. ‘So we got the good news in the last 48 hours.’
Perlman said he hopes to work on two other films before beginning production on Hellboy II. He will be promoting Hellboy in July in Mexico, South America and Asia. Hellboy was ‘the greatest gift in my career,’ Perlman said during the panel, in which he fielded questions from fans.
‘It was such a longshot, particularly since I never had a track record at carrying a big studio film,’ he said. ‘It became too good to be true. It was such a work of passion for Guillermo del Toro, that it became a passion for everybody on board. ‘Not only did he make the film he set out to make, he made a better film.’
