IDW’S NEW LOOK FOR LEGEND
IDW seems ready for the move into the what we call the ‘big time’. Steve Niles has been their meal ticket for a while now, and it was announced recently that their compilation of his adaptation of Richard Mattheson’s I Am Legend is moving from trade paperback to flat-out novel.
IDW will publish the collected I Am Legend series, which Niles adapted over 10 years ago with art work by Elman Brown, as a hardcover book later this month. The price will remain the same MSRP as it was for the trade, $35, despite the fact that it’s more expensive to bind a hardcover.
Perhaps IDW is just saying thanks to Steve for kicking so much comic ass this past year, or maybe they just really respect the work that went into this book and felt it needed a bit more. Either way this is a sweet collector’s item and it’s great to see IDW offer something so cool for a relatively low price.
