NIGHT READY TO FLY AGAIN?
It always seems really strange when a production house or studio will wait many years after the release of their first semi-popular movie to finally come out with a sequel. Case in point, The Night Flier. Adapted from the short Stephen King story of the same name, it was one of those minor direct-to-video success stories because it was better than a lot of us expected, but that might’ve just been because of Miguel Ferrer.
Now it’s 7 years later, and Lilja’s Library has learned that Rich Rubenstein’s New Amsterdam Entertainment is working on a sequel called Night Flier II: Fear of Flying with the writer/director of the original, Mark Pavia. No word on what it’s going to be about, most likely the further adventures of the vampiric pilot from the first, but what could it be with out Miguel?
